I began by mucking about with an unsaturated pigment, Holbein’s Shadow Green. I stabby brush strokes with my 2-inch Hake brush, but the staccato of the physical strokes did not transfer to the visual realm. I overlaid the grayish green background with Hooker’s green and turquoise; a couple of dashes of English yellow punctuated the greenish globes at the end of the serpentine Hooker’s-green figure.
The opera rose red triangle stands out in maximal contrast to the other visual elements in this piece.
I am curious to know if the reader makes any connection between this abstract design and the date of April 15.
Luckily, I finished all that last month! (and $63 back). (K)
An early finish lessens the panic.
