I took a photo many years ago, when I first started taking pictures of Mike, my older brother.* I have never been able to make contact with Mike and pursued a long-term photography project in an attempt to understand him better.
He was relaxing in his classroom when I came in. The bulletin board was a display of fish, but it could have been a cartoon bubble for Mike’s thoughts.
Here is a sketch of what I think should have been in Mike’s thoughts.
That’s me in the center, looking at him.
*Mike is autistic, low functioning and nonverbal.
Beautiful photo and your painting is full of emotion ♥
Thank you, Antonella.
What an amazing photo! And reflective response from this viewpoint, years later. (K)
Thanks, K. No end to permutations on a theme, given time.
