I began with a couple of brush strokes that formed a figure eight. I did not know what to do next except that the openings in the figure reminded me of eye-holes in a mask. I populated the holes with cadmium red and lemon yellow. The result reminded me of a dragon face. I thought about my recent dragon sketches (East Village Dragon and In Focus, East Side Dragon) and concentrated on further enhancements.
I tried to recreate smoke and flame as the dragon’s response to being speared through the head my an angel’s golden walking stick.
The dragons aren’t going to take that ‘angelic” behavior! Loved waking up to this 🙂
Thank you, Ambi!
