It was a cold day. I can’t remember if it was February or March. I do know it was 1991 and I was taking a walk from Bay Ridge, where I was living at the time, to the Brooklyn Museum. I loved taking long walks. Now and then I got a street sign in the frame of my photograph. That is how I know the graffiti in the photo below was somewhere near 14th Avenue, as I captured the street name a few frames later, in another snapshot on my roll of film,
I like the shadow cast by the tracks above. It gives the photo a pleasant visual rhythm. But when a train passes, it darkens the visual calm, replacing it with a deafening audible cadence.
Oh the graffiti of a past Brooklyn! Love to see these and reminisce. Thanx so much
Thanks for appreciating!
